Summary
Tim Drake is a sucker for mystery, and there isn't a mystery quite like Batman and Robin. His pursuit for answers leads him to a friendship with a tire thief named Jay, who becomes an unexpected constant in Tim's nighttime escapades.
When Jay disappears without a trace, it's up to Tim to rescue his best friend. But as he investigates the strange uprise of human disappearances around Gotham, Robin is there, preventing Tim from getting into too much trouble---and keeping him from looking for Jay.

It’s not that Batgirl doesn’t want to train her, it’s that Batgirl doesn’t want to interact with people in general. That’s what Stephanie likes to believe, in any case (she likes her excuses and she’s going to stick with them). Batgirl probably doesn’t even know the definition of social interaction. In fact, the only time Batgirl talks is when Stephanie asks to train with her, and that’s just to say ‘No’ and then continue kicking the asses of either holograms or criminals, depending on the time of day.

“Kitten, no one should ever do something like this alone.” Really, Damian has no idea what she might be talking about, but she continues anyway with a soft smile and the slow, gentle cascade of her hair sliding forward as she bends down to his level. She crouches there for a moment, kind eyes looking over Damian’s face, before she straightens up again and moves her fingers to gently nudge at Damian’s shoulders, a harmless pressure. “How about we go talk about it over a cup of warm milk first?”
Damian has no idea what possesses him to follow Selina back down to the drive, but suddenly his shoes are crunching over gravel and he’s admiring the way Selina can walk on these loose stones with her high heels and still look like royalty. Subjectively, he realises that the grip around his heart loosens with every step he takes away from that towering manor.

When Tim Drake decided to drop the hero gig and study for an honorable career as a doctor, he really should have kept in mind the type of people he used to associate with. Instead of trading his illegal hobbies for a more legal method of helping people, Tim finds himself consistently breaking the law anyway when vigilantes keep dropping into the abandoned wing of his hospital in various stages of near death. He can convince himself he’s okay with it as long as they keep it to once a week because the unaccounted for medical supplies are starting to look suspicious and Tim did not become the youngest graduate with a doctorate just to get his ass thrown in jail for allegedly stealing expensive narcotics.
He especially did not drink eight cups of coffee straight during those multi-night study sessions just so he can deal with the Red Hood stopping by during his busiest shift with a bullet wound in his chest. That man can either suck up his pride and wrap himself in kevlar-fortified bubble wrap or Tim will let the triads know exactly where the guy who pissed them off is because fuck this.
