Sirius seemed very conflicted at the moment. “Well…” He stared, as if trying to think of a defense. Suddenly his eyes lit up. “What about queers? Are you guys homophobic?”
The room went dead silent and Regulus could see the triumph in Sirius’ eyes. He had thought he won. But he could also see the humor in his friends eyes and he knew different.
Barty turned to look at Evan. “I don’t know, Ev might be.” Evan proceeded to slap Barty’s arm.
“Silence says a lot.” Sirius pointed out.
Or: Sirius meets Regulus’ friends properly for the first time and makes all the wrong assumptions.
