It had been a month since Matthew died.
But when Gunwook had arrived on campus on that fateful day, what he saw at the entrance of the building made his heart stop. Gunwook would have never been prepared for this sight, not even in the sweet dreams he had that made him forget about it all. Standing there was Matthew, alive and well. Matthew was back. Not only that, but back in his arms. Back in his life. If this was just a dream, then Gunwook did not want to wake up from it.
Gunwook would make sure that things stayed this way. Gunwook would fix everything, and he swore on his life that it would be different this time.

Gunwook smiles, fondness flooding him at seeing Matthew’s excitement. He hopes the snow gets heavy enough for them to play together. He wants to make snowmen with Matthew. Get frostbite in his fingertips while he helps bring Matthew’s extravagant creative visions to life. Slip and fall, and get soaked making snow angels with him. Have overly competitive snowball fights even though he knows he’ll end up surrendering to Matthew anyway.
He’s found another reason for winter to be his favorite season.
