Aventurine’s eyes widen at the sight of him, then narrow. “Of course it’s you,” he snaps. “Is this supposed to be some kind of punishment for that gash in the sky? Trap me in a bubble and watch me go insane?”
Sunday folds his arms behind his back. “It is supposed to be a paradise,” he says. “Your consciousness should be folded into it. And yet you seem to have retained your original memories. I take it you aren’t responsible for that?”
“Paradise, huh,” Aventurine says, his lip curled in a grimace. “I’ve been in here for three days, and every moment of them made me feel like I was either being toyed with or just losing my fucking mind.”
(Aventurine's awake in paradise. Sunday gets a little obsessed. It doesn't go well for Aventurine. It doesn't go well for Sunday, either.)

“Um…” Mika scratches his cheek. This is sounding like one of those deep artistic things he’s supposed to understand, but doesn’t have the slightest idea about. “Are ya sayin’… ya wanna paint me nude?”
“Non!” Shu throws up his hands. “That is not what I’m saying! Ahh, good lord.” He heaves another sigh, red to the tips of his ears.
(Shu goes on a journey of self-discovery and decides he might be ready to take his relationship with Mika to the next level. Mika, who wasn't around to see this journey, just assumes he's been replaced with a pod person.)

This, Tsukishima thinks, is what he prays for during the times when he is most desperate. Yamaguchi’s shoulders and the freckles sprinkled onto his skin, a plethora of stars only he can see. They are dust against the wind, dust against the golden light peeking in rectangles through their sheer curtains. They swim against the air in quiet and settles where they should. Atop the forest, and over the rich soil and healthy greens. They fill the land with their presence. Tsukishima wants to reap them and make them his—with dust clinging onto the lines running along his palms, making them their home. He wants Yamaguchi on his skin.
