Summary
He lived the life of a shunned exile, before becoming The Herald of Mechanical Evolution. A life abruptly taken by war, painstakingly rebuilt, then replaced. Despite his efforts to devoid himself of emotion, it was the raging itch he could never stop. The Herald abhorred the Defender, but never *this* Jayce.
It dawned on him: the memory of where – or rather, *when* – he was. He had somehow, impossibly, been thrust back into his 28 year old self, and was sitting in their lab, on an evening as innocent and inviting as any other before the proposal of the Hexgates.
