Zoro leans on the counter and smirks. “You kiss all the people you hate?”
There’s a beat.
A long, excruciating, seismic beat where Sanji makes eye contact with the emergency wine rack and seriously considers smashing a bottle over his own head.
“I kissed you to shut you up,” he snarls.
“You could’ve just told me to shut up.”
“Oh, believe me, I have. Multiple times. All the time. But your mouth—your stupid mouth—never listens. It just keeps flapping like an idiot sail in an idiot storm on an idiot pirate ship and—!”
In which Sanji kisses Zoro to shut him up and it goes horribly, horribly right.

I might be in trouble, Sanji thinks, right before Zoro deepens the kiss like he’s been planning this for years.
Because maybe he has.
Because Zoro doesn’t kiss like someone figuring it out. He kisses like someone who knows. Like someone who has had to wait for it. Think about it. Want it.
Sanji melts.
Like a wilted flower. Like butter on a griddle. Like a man who has been pretending not to be in love with his rival for three and a half oceans and can’t lie about it anymore because his tongue is in that rival’s mouth.

Overall, Usopp can see it. He gets what it all means, gets the boundless freedom in the key, the thoughtful care in the gloves, the teasing humor in the peach. And judging by how intensely Sanji’s staring at Zoro now like his brain’s just internally short-circuited, it’d hardly be a stretch to guess that Sanji gets it too.
Usopp doesn’t think he’s witnessed anything more romantic in his life.
‘Whoa – hey, watch out,’ Zoro murmurs with a frown, hooking long fingers over the jut of Sanji’s hip and reeling him in close as someone from the wandering crowd squeezes past them. Sanji sucks in a sharp breath, teeth sinking with restraint into his bottom lip and a rosy tint trickling over the tips of his ears, but he doesn’t protest. Doesn’t pull himself away.
