Summary
Danny makes a few connections between Gotham’s vigilantes and his new family. The Justice League, mainly because of Constantine, summons Danny as the Ghost King. Bruce and co think he’s kidnapped when he vanishes with a “Aw, man. BRB.”.The JL try to keep Danny entertained while they wait for Batman to show up. Red Hood goes reluctantly in his place, and he recognizes Danny and calls Batman. Bruce finally comes to the Watch Tower, where he finds Danny entranced by space. Bruce frets over Danny immediately.
"Batman sprints into the room, Robin on his heels.
As the pair get closer without any indication of slowing, Danny can’t help but hover a bit out of reach.
“Um. Hey, so listen, sorry about disappe--”
“Report. Now.”
“Uh. I haven’t done a book report in months, what?”
“He does not seem injured, Father.”
“Oh, no, I’m all good. Are… are you guys okay?”
Batman’s nostrils flare slightly. “Explain what just happened.”
“Yeah, so I was summoned. For a, what did you call it? A consultation?”
Constantine sighs. “Yes, which I’d like to get back to, by the way. King Phantom still hasn’t explained how to defeat the ghost dragon.”"

For the longest time Father’s Day was just another day for Jim to hate.
Just like most holidays, this one left a sour taste in his mouth and an overwhelming ache of loneliness and resentment in his gut that was only intensified by the fact he was forced to see happy families coming to celebrate with ‘special’ breakfasts or dinners at the Benbow Inn. And though he’d wanted more than anything to disappear and not show up again until the next morning, it was one of the busiest days in the dining room and he was pretty much trapped there helping his mom.
Except now…he's on the Legacy and he's got a father figure he actually wants to do something special for.

"Don't trust me nose, Jimbo?" Silver huffed with amusement, raising an eyebrow. "I'll have ye' know this ole' sniffer o' mine can find a barrel of purps in a crowded Flatulan port." Silver straightened up, tapping his large nose with a clawed organic finger, a proud smile spread across his face.
Jim rolled his eyes with a laugh. "Yeah, I noticed. You can sniff me out faster than the cops back at home-"
He slapped a hand over his mouth, eyes widening as he realized what had just slipped out of his mouth. His gaze is wary as he watches the Ursid's reaction, but the adult's face is unreadable for the moment. Some species are sensitive about certain bodily traits and abilities, and Jim has never met an Ursid before Silver, so he isn't sure what is safe to joke about and what might get him throttled.
'What is wrong with you?' The words slink in and coil around his chest like a vice, familiar and unwelcome, and Jim braces himself for Silver to repeat them back at him. Or something worse, maybe a jabbing finger or a harsh hand grabbing his arm. He always seems to mess things up when it begins to go smoothly, and this will be no different-
