Summary
When someone else's stupidity causes Laurent to get into a bicycle accident, he refuses to go to the hospital and winds up being taken home by a good Samaritan to see to his injuries. When his head clears, he'll probably have thoughts about being in a strange man's apartment, but until then, letting a handsome and caring doctor clean him up and tend to his wounds isn't the worst thing that's ever happened to him.

Kastor was illegitimate, but he was still a prince and an heir to the throne. There had been bastard Kings before. His brother was before him now, true, but there had been cases when Kings had altered the line of succession, moving forward a younger son who showed more aptitude for ruling than his brothers, or even declaring a daughter the first heir for her steady mind or useful marriage. And he knew that his father loved him as much as Damen, and loved his mother more than he had the late Queen Egeria. If Kastor could prove that he would make a better King than his younger brother, it would happen for him too. He made faces at the baby in his arms and laughed when Damen squealed at him. How could he fail to prove himself a better King than that?

Set between Kings Rising and the Summer Palace
Damen's healing and the joining of two kingdoms is progressing as well as he could hope. But in order for the court around him to be at peace the way he would like, the two most important people in his life must learn to get along.
Which means that Nikandros also must find a way to forgive Laurent for what he did to Damen.
ETA: Final scene (between Laurent and Nikandros) is now rewritten after posting.

Summary
A year before what would have been the events of Marlas, Prince Auguste of Vere survives an assassination attempt on the border, returns to the capital, enters his brother's room - and immediately murders his uncle. Refusing to explain the reason for the attack, Auguste is stripped of his inheritance and banished by the Council. When the circumstances of his exile lead him, against his will, to Akielos, he strikes up a friendship with Prince Damianos that changes the fate of both nations.

In the midst of civil war in Vere, Laurent is captured by his uncle and sent to Akielos to serve as a pleasure slave for Prince Damianos. Now Laurent must find a way to escape and return to his own country before his uncle manages to use his capture to turn the war in his favor, and without opening a second front against Akielos, while navigating the intricacies of a foreign court where his manipulation skills will not help him as much as he would have supposed. And to survive all this, without being broken or discovered, while he is forced to serve the man who ruined his life at Marlas.
