And you—” Gaius reached out and took Adrian’s face in the palm of his hand. Gaius’ thumb moved across Adrian’s cheek in soothing motions, and Gaius moved in closer. Adrian could hear his heartbeat in his ears, and no doubt Gaius could too. “—will be my hand. My soldier. My beautiful prince.”
Adrian takes his final steps in becoming Gaius' soldier.
