Summary
Everything is silent and still. This region has been that way for two centuries, keeping out all but the most persistent of wanderers, shielding itself from the outside since the last time abundant blood was spilled and fed the enchantment that ensures that the dreadful creature at its heart remains asleep.
The soil yearns for the call of its master, the corruption spreads, and the living beings that still inhabit this place keep on living, subdued, waiting. There's an air of anticipation: it's almost the promised time once again.

"Are you ready?"Soft moonlight enters the room through two grand windows and illuminates the ethereal being standing in the doorway, his hand stretched out towards Owen. Mesmerizing crimson eyes gaze at brown ones, dimmed from sickness. There's a familiar fond smile on Louis's face, framed by a halo of white hair that truly makes him look like an angel, a very fitting comparison given the situation, the salvation he was about to deliver.
