  Summary

  We thought for sure that it would never actually happen. We were so sure that our lives wouldn't go to hell like this. That the rich wouldn't demolish the world. That they wouldn't leave our society in shambles and run away to leave us to pick up the pieces.
  We were wrong. They were gone, and we were left to suffer in the remains of our burning planet.
  My parents were taken. I had no idea where. Until I ended up there. Why were we taken here? What did these people want from us? What would happen if we stepped out of line?

  The Nerds were finally free. Max Jagerman was finally changing, and going to Hatchetfield High never felt so good.
  Grace knew her plan would work, but now there's something she hadn't planned for.

  She never planned for Ruth. She never planned for the way he heart fluttered when Ruth was around. She never planned for the way her face flushed when she thought about her. What was she thinking? She couldn't think like this. She'd fix it.

  Ruth didn't know where these feelings came from, nor did she know what to do with them. Someone like Grace would never even spare her a second glance. She wasn't exactly anyone's type, especially someone who would never imagine being with a girl.
