Lately, Luke’s been having these dreams.
They’re different, somehow, to the typical kind of demigod dream he’s used to. If they were just visions of ruined temples or weeping oracles or images of Ladon as it slashed its talon down his face, he’d probably ignore them. Realistically, he wouldn’t even remember them after waking up.
No — these are unique in a way Luke can’t quite quantify. They’re not like the nightmares he normally gets. They stay in his mind long after he wakes up, and they don’t stop, no matter which god he prays to or how much of his food he scrapes into the fire.

Summary
Executing his plan to avert the destruction of western civilisation wasn’t very hard, since it involved a lot of doing nothing. The only point of uncertainty was what to do about the hellhound — it posed a real risk of killing Percy, which would defeat the point, but Luke had only summoned it in the first place so that Chiron would think the camp wasn’t safe and Percy needed to go on his quest. And the quest needed to happen. Because Luke had stolen the master bolt six months ago.
Naturally, he hadn’t woken up early enough to just not do that, because that would be too easy.

Summary
There’s nothing to put the body in, so Mogi and one of Near’s guys cover Light in their suits. Near doesn’t seem thrilled about it — he mutters something about it being too conspicuous and a disaster waiting to happen — but he doesn’t have a better plan, so they just decide to wait until Light’s arteries stop fountaining blood before putting him in the back of the car.
“We’d planned to keep him alive,” Near’s woman — Lidner, Matsuda thinks her name is — murmurs. “else, we would’ve brought a bodybag.”
Matsuda laughs at that, but nobody pays him any notice, which is a relief. A bodybag would be just as bad. At least this way they can all pretend Light is a pile of dry-cleaning; there’s no running from the reality of a lumpy, six-foot plastic bag of corpse.

this is like the fic equivalent of one of those 1950s golden age of hollywood movies. i’m thinking roman holiday, gentlemen prefer blondes, etc etc. to me this is the fic equivalent of a marilyn monroe movie. it’s a classic. they should make children read this in schools so no child has to grow up without this fic. this is a cultural phenomenon, a seminal experience, a life changing event

objectively the best code geass fic i have ever read. also obsessed with how suzaku has internalised what he’s doing to lelouch as “killing”. he has every reason to deny it and pretend he’s just you know adding layers to him. but no. it’s murder. lelouch is haunting the narrative
