Jaemin chews this over, lips pressed tight. When he answers, his voice is quiet, like he’s talking to a scared animal. “It’s not my way, Hyuck. It’s just what I know how to do. If it’s too much, just tell me. I’ll back off.”
“We tried that,” Donghyeok says. “It sucked.”
“Then what do you want?” Jaemin asks, eyes searching. “Tell me what you want.”
Donghyeok thinks: I want you to be obsessed with me. I want you to leave me alone. I want you to rub my back when I puke and fuck my brains out and never, ever let anyone else in. He stares at the red stain spreading in his bowl and can’t say any of it.

"What—" Peter chokes, and even his voice is wrong—deeper, smoother.
He scrambles out of bed, nearly tripping over his own—no, not his—feet, which are bigger and attached to longer legs than he's used to. The floor beneath him is heated marble, because of course it is. He staggers across the room, drawn to a wall of mirrors that line what appears to be a walk-in closet the size of his entire apartment.
The reflection staring back at him isn't Peter Parker. It's Johnny Storm.

It’s not about dominance, or—not just that. It’s about hunger and curiosity, about the way Chenle’s scent lingers on his skin for hours, about how the memory of Chenle’s laugh at four a.m. tastes almost sweeter than the real thing. Donghyeok wants to ruin him and put him back together, wants to fuck him until the line between them is erased and all that’s left is the tangled aftermath, until they smell so blended that people can’t pick apart their own individual scents anymore.

Chenle checks the postings and sees his name, not for the gate but for an escort to the prince’s quarters: one hour, one knight, per the king’s decree. It feels like the king slammed his head into the dirt and twisted it in there a few times for good measure. Something like “ha, I will let your eyes feast upon what you wish to have but can never achieve.” Piece of shit, if you ask him, though he wouldn't actually share that with anyone out of fear of being caught committing treason.
Being the prince's knight is never easy, but things get complicated when the king finds out about their relationship and sends Chenle to a different area. That never stopped him before, though.

Chenle doesn't answer. He can smell it now, under the detergent and Renjun’s clinical, piney soap—the sweet, sharp tang that sets something greedy gnawing at his insides. The burning pleasure, gone for a window of time, kindles again in his lower back and guts, until it’s all brittle static and fever-dream logic.
Renjun must’ve noticed the shift. He flicks his gaze over, eyes bright and narrow, then lets his mouth hang open slightly to taste the air. “You’re leaking all over the blanket,” he said, voice gone soft at the edges. “It’s gross.”
Chenle curls further in, arms around his knees, face pressed to the sleeve of his own hoodie. “We should just fuck it out,” he says, muffled, “and maybe both of us can go an hour without wanting to kill ourselves.”
