He felt his eyes fill with relieved tears and, without a moment of hesitation, he draper his coat on the young boy’s shoulders and pulled him into a hug and the boy hugged him back. “Karl, I was so worried, please don’t run away like that again.”

    Or: It seems the transformation ability works both ways, as Karl gets turned into a human. Also, it's Christmas and they are making cookies.
