8am sunlight was pouring through the window, dousing the kitchen in a beautiful golden shine. After another sip of coffee, Rinne was finally able to process the jumbled thoughts in his head and open his tired, sleep-rimmed eyes. There Niki was, in a neon-yellow, oversized t-shirt that reads ‘Will you BEE my valentine?” in tacky font with an ugly print of a wonky bee on it.
