Summary
Akaashi froze in place, and his eyes tried their best to follow the 23 year old man across the street with the bus arriving. It wasn’t Akaashi’s bus, so he didn’t need to get on, and he prayed that maybe, possibly, it wasn’t Bokuto’s either.
After what seemed like the longest one minute of Akaashi’s life, the bus left the station, and the man on the other side was gone.
With the bus gone and the wind slowing down, Akaashi was supposed to finally hear his boss clearly on the phone.
But all he could hear was ocean waves.
Akaashi thought he saw Bokuto at the bus stop. He didn't though, so he went on to recall what had happened in Tokyo four years ago prior.
Or alternatively, Akaashi heard ocean waves again.

“Ya absolute opportunist fucker!” Atsumu shouts over the phone, stumbling out the door with his sneakers barely slipped on properly. He forgot to throw on a jacket even, dammit.
The rest of the team doubts that Bokuto’s privy to the… situation. Unlike Atsumu, they have the good sense to not pry. Bokuto’s an adult. He’s a big boy. He agrees, but his stake in this isn’t necessarily protecting Bokuto’s feelings, it’s to curse out his asshole of a twin brother.
Look, Atsumu might not have the most experience with relationship or ex-boyfriend etiquette, but really? Not even a month has passed, and his twin’s already maneuvering himself to do God knows what.
“Good mornin’ to you too, Tsumu,” Osamu drawls on the other side of the line. He already sounds done with this conversation. Oh, please.
Or: The mess that Bokuto, Akaashi, and Osamu make, wherein Atsumu Miya is somehow the levelheaded one in all of this.

Summary
Looking down at the court, Keiji remembered that saying again. First, the figure of the ace is one that inspires his allies. He doubted anyone playing on court needed Bokuto to inspire them, but the thousands of people watching did. Under the arena lights, Bokuto looked resplendent, his body tense as a notched bowstring, his eyes focused only on the ball.
To Keiji, he was bright as a star, right here on the court.
