Summary
Keefe Sencen has always been expected to be something he's not. His parents expected him to be great, clever, stoic, and someone to change the future. His friends expected him to be funny, a flirt, sarcastic, and a little bit reckless.
Keefe knows he's a mix of these things but none of them know the true him. The scared boy he really is that cuts himself at night just to get over the pain he feels every day. He doesn't want anyone to know his story, but here it is.THIS WORK CONTAINS TRIGGERING TOPICS, READ TAGS!

Summary
Do not slumber overlong in their embrace, child. Even the Bright-Eyed Ones may have blind hearts.
Close your eyes to the heavens, and open them to the earth.
Do you feel it?
Perfect.
You are perfect.
------
A rewrite of the first KOTLC book, focused on characterisation, worldbuilding and the unavoidable creeping realisation that things in the new world aren't as perfect as they seem. Primarily sticks to the canon storyline.

Summary
Sophie shudders, another sob tearing through her, and now her knees give way and she crumples into a graceless heap on the kitchen floor, gasping and crying, trying to breathe and hating what she's turned into.
Hating herself. It's just fire. A small bit of fire meant for nothing but cooking midnight pancakes. It wouldn't hurt her here, she was supposed to be safe.
(sophie has trauma but hey she heals!! based on the song "beautiful" by illymation)
