Summary
This is kind of a one-shot fic. It's a scene that I wrote for my long fic about the Dominion Occupation of Deep Space Nine but I'm re-writing it to be from Damar's POV (I've got too many POVs already). However, I really enjoyed writing Ziyal and this scene from her perspective so I thought I'd whack it on here to save it. With that in mind, there may be a few references to things that happen in the rest of the fic, but overall I think it's pretty self-contained.
It takes place at the party, which Dukat throws for Ziyal to celebrate getting her work into the Cardassian art museum. Naturally, he uses it as a chance to show how great he is!I hope you enjoy!

kukalaka69: While learning about some of the intricacies of the Cardassian tax system was certainly fascinating, I definitely wanted to know more about the characters and their motivations beyond their jobs. Melrok and Dira had some fun repartee, and I would have liked to read more about their friendship. More importantly, there was no consideration of Esgatt’s moral reason for embezzling government funds, which made the ending rather rushed and predictable.
