    The story you’re about to read goes a little different: Almost sixteen years ago, a girl was born under a very unlucky, smog-covered sky. She would be known by many names throughout her existence: Dylan Fenton, Phantom, King of All Ghosts— And Martha Jade Wayne, though that one lasted a very short time.

    When she walked into the portal, she already knew what would lay on the other side. She'd met countless spirits by then. Her sister was one. Her best friend was one. She wondered often how close she herself was to being one.

    And only then did the portal turn on.

    Danny wasn't sure what to do with his life (Half-life? Death?) anymore, but maybe the joining Justice League will be just what he needs.
    Now Danny just has to overcome Batman's paranoia and show him that he's more than a sassy, overpowered entity, fight off Wonder Woman's worry, and deal with Superman's cowardice. Luckily Flash is pretty cool, even if he can't keep a secret.
    What's that, oh now there are ghost attacks... Great, guess it's his problem now. And here comes his unresolved trauma knocking on the door along with his hero complex and a boatload of guilt. Sure, being Ghost King is a lot, along with being a superhero, but surely things will work themselves out. All Danny can do is hope that things don't blow up in the process.

    "Nothing good." Jason states grimly, frantically racking his brain for any way out. Whatever entity is about to come out of this circle is going to be baring a fate worse than death.

    Jason would know. He’s been dead.

    …Actually speaking of being dead. Jason does know someone from the Ghost Zone with enough sheer audacity to help him fight what very well could be an actual demon.

    With a mental ‘fuck it’, Jason begins to chant.

    AKA: Jason and Danny became friends in the Ghost Zone. This is about to be everyone’s problem. Batman just wants to know who this illusive teenager is. Because he’s a meta. Obviously. Not for adoption reasons. No siree, not him.
