It’s the first thing he says to Frank when he sees him two days later.
“Buck’s getting married.” He states simply
Frank, as usual, keeps a neutral expression, nodding his head slightly.. “You said he has been dating someone correct?”
“Natalia.” He hates the bitter taste that her name leaves on his tongue.
Frank nods in return, “And how are you feeling about this?”
“I’m not that shitty jealous best friend, I’m not” He emphasizes, “But I don’t think she understands him as much as he thinks she does.”
Frank nods, setting his hands into his lap, “ I want to try something,” he hums, “Before our next session I want you to write a letter.”
Eddie looks across at Frank with wide eyes, his eyebrows knitted in confusion. “W-what?” He stutters
Frank laughs softly, “Humor me Eddie, I want you to write a letter and say the things you think a partner of Buck’s needs to know, the little things that no one else knows.” He gives him a small smile. “You don’t have to give it to anyone, you don’t even have to show me but I want you to write it.”
OR Buck is planning his wedding with Natalia, Eddie definitely has some feelings about it and Buck accidentally finds them out.

"You look exactly the same," Eddie says with tears in his eyes. "How is that even possible?"
"I don't know," Buck says, his thumb swiping across Eddie's knuckles. "I don't understand it."
He may be the same, but looking at Eddie, Buck can see the years on him. His hair is a bit different, the creases by the corners of his eyes just a bit deeper. There's a new scar on his right hand that Buck hasn't seen before.He'd know these hands blind, but it takes him a moment to notice it still. His fingers brush over it once, and then again before he actually looks down and sees the thin golden band wrapped around Eddie's ring finger. Then he just—stares at it, stupidly, for a second. Before Eddie pulls his hands back, and leaves Buck's hanging empty in the space between them.
"You're married," he says.

Buck kissed him for — for some reason. Eddie’s not really sure why. He can’t parse the hows and the whys of that right now when he needs to snap Buck out of a spiral.
“Buck, you need to calm down,” Eddie says. Buck just makes a miserable noise. “Can you look at me for a sec?”
“No can do,” Buck says, voice tight. “I’m too busy trying to figure out how to fake my own death.” Despite himself, Eddie snorts and Buck whirls around, affronted. “Eddie, I’m being so serious right now. This is one of the top most embarrassing moments of my life.”
Or: Buck kisses Eddie over a kettle. Eddie’s straight.
Eddie kisses Buck over pans. He’s — not so straight.
