Stumbling on your feet, you pushed past the shambling bodies of New Yorkers newly returned to the ruined streets. Chunks of asphalt like meteors littered the streets. Street signs lay flattened and buildings cracked down the middle.
Above it all on the high rise screen, between all the dead pixels, Robert Reynolds stands on that high rise screen—pink cheeked, clapping. Surrounded by strangers in too much spandex, so incredibly alive and not stiff in some Malaysian morgue. For you at least, walking into this reality was more shocking by far than anything conjured in the darkness.
