Summary
It should not have ended like this.
"Hatake Kakashi died," said the Sage of the Six Paths, and it hit Tobirama like a punch he’d subconsciously anticipated but couldn’t dodge.
In that moment, he knew with crystal clarity that everything had just gone very, very wrong.Or: When team seven failed to seal Kaguya, Tobirama decided to take a page from Madara's book and burn this timeline down to build the world anew.

Summary
“Who told you the truth?” Itachi asked with a terrifyingly cold tone, tightening his hand. “Was it Danzo? Madara?”
“The man who calls himself Madara told me this, or will tell me this, in the future,” Kakashi said calmly, gripping Itachi’s hand and forcing it away from his throat. “Four years from now. There will be another war. The Akatsuki’s plans will succeed, but the result will be something that not even they themselves anticipate.”

Summary
It had been a blur. Itachi alive. Fully healed, with both of his eyes. Somehow. Then the battle against Madara, against Kabuto, against Kaguya herself.
It didn’t really matter to Sasuke how his brother had come back to life because he had bigger fish to fry: Getting his brother to retire (and STAY retired) before leaving on his travels with Sakura.
However, Itachi doesn't seem to yet comprehend how traumatized his brother still is from losing him before.

Summary
Kakashi Hatake never intended to notice him.
He was a captain at nineteen, a veteran with more blood on his hands than most men twice his age. And yet, when Uchiha Itachi—thirteen, silent, precise—joined his ANBU squad, Kakashi found himself unable to look away.It wasn’t curiosity. It wasn’t pity.
It was obsession.Behind masks and shadows, Kakashi’s fixation only deepens. He lingers too long, watches too closely, and tells himself it isn’t shameful—because it isn’t. But the closer he tries to draw, the more untouchable Itachi becomes, until the space between them is suffocating.
Their teammates notice. Shisui notices. And though everyone assumes Itachi’s loyalty lies elsewhere, Kakashi knows he cannot stop yearning.
This is a slow burn of porcelain masks, silent glances, and an obsession that refuses to fade.

He didn't know why he was thrown to the point in time he was. All he knew was he was back. All he knew was now he could make a difference. He was going to do his best to make things right. This time he wasn't going to sit back and just let things happen, waiting for his end by his brother's hand.
