Al-Hashimi is the first one to walk over to her. “Trinity…” she says gently. She hesitates, seeming to choose her words carefully. “Do you… do you know you’re pregnant?”
“What?” Trinity sits up on the gurney, feeling just as confused as the rest of them look. Her head spins. She wants to start laughing. “What kinda…No! No, there’s no way, I…I can’t be—” She locks eyes with Garcia. “I’m not… no… that’s not… that’s…”
Garcia shakes her head. “Impossible,” she says quietly.

Summary
After her father’s sudden death, Trinity returns to her childhood home in Boulder, Colorado; a place of manicured lawns, suppressed trauma, and the conservative family she has long kept at arm’s length. Yolanda accompanies but only after agreeing to Trinity's terms that they pose as friends, forcing their long-term relationship to become a secret. What begins as a brief trip to organize a funeral stretches into an indefinite stay when Trinity’s brothers guilt her into staying behind to care for their mother. As the days turn into weeks, Yolanda remains at Trinity’s side, but their relationship begins to feel the effects of being tucked away for too long. As Trinity's ghosts from Boulder grow increasingly relentless, she and Yolanda must confront whether their relationship can survive the turbulence, or if they should have abandoned ship long ago.

Summary
It has been 3 months since they broke up, and by now, Trinity has become nearly a ghost in Victoria's world. Which has Victoria confused as to why all of a sudden Trinity has decided she wants to climb through her window, drunk and soaking wet after being hit by a damn Lime scooter.
Trinity’s eyes had tracked up and down Victoria before settling on her face. There was a mischievous glint in her eye that Victoria, too focused on applying the wound-closure strip, failed to notice. She had a slight frown as she was concentrating on the task at hand.
“You know I’ve been looking everywhere for this shirt. I thought I had lost it. Glad to see it’s of good use for you.”
The comment froze Victoria's hands for half a second before she finished inspecting Trinity’s now-sealed wound. However, the brief pause was enough for Trinity to notice, along with the subtle blush that bloomed on Victoria's cheeks.
Of course, tonight would be the night that Victoria picked one of Trinity’s old shirts that she had secretly kept and not given back to her. It was her favorite one of Trinity’s, an old blue UCLA women’s gymnastics shirt.

Summary
Yolanda stands back up, flipping over the test without hesitation. She freezes when she sees reads the result, staring down at the piece of plastic.
"What does it say?" Trinity asks nervously, standing up when she doesn't get a reply. "Yolanda? It's negative again, right?"
Yolanda shakes her head, pushing the test over the counter closer to Trinity. "No, it's not."
The two black lines are aggressively strong, and Yolanda feels as Trinity stares at it in disbelief, a mirror image of her own posture.
"Oh my god," Trinity breathes out, leaning her weight on the counter, dragging her eyes from the test up to meet Yolanda's own. "What the fuck. We're having a baby."
"Yeah, we are," she says, pulling the shorter woman in for a crushing hug, nothing filling her head except Trinity Trinity Trinity as she breathes in the green apple smell of her hair and rubs one hand over the curve of her waist.

So yeah, maybe Santos had Garcia’s driver card stuck to her bedroom mirror during her formative teenage years, and maybe that headshot of Garcia with the trademark no-nonsense look on her face played some small part in her discovering her sexuality. And maybe in the back of her mind, she was thinking of Garcia when she declared her major in mechanical engineering, when she was pulling all-nighters with the FSAE team, when she was doing her PhD at the University of Pittsburgh before everything fell apart, again. Whatever, it’s not weird.
