Summary
Every night, a WWII destroyer ghost ship rises from the Pacific and drifts until morning, dreaming of the torpedo strike that sank her. A sea monster with a ghost ship collection has been trying to trap her. Sam and Dean, hearing reports of a sea monster, go on their first marine hunt, with disastrous results. Sam is dragged out of the boat and Dean jumps after him into freezing water and nearly dies but is rescued by the ghost ship’s crew who still believe they’re at war in 1943. Dean has to find a way to escape the ship and save Sam without getting shot by the increasingly suspicious captain. The sea monster wants Sam to go on board and sabotage the ship – in return for something Sam has lost, unknowingly. But he has to do it before the torpedo comes at dawn.

Summary
They say there is a secret game in Las Vegas, the greatest one of all, in which the hero plays against the dragon for three nights, and the prize is a wish granted, and the penalty is death. A new player arrives to try his luck, only to discover that the game is held in a dump of a house in the desert and that the dragon is a dude named Dean, chained to the house by the ankle. The hero soon realizes that he cannot leave unless he wins. The dragon is growing blood-thirsty, the game makes no sense, and the hero’s only hope are the clues dropped by the dragon’s brother who’s just along for the ride.

Summary
Babe and Bill go on a magic-induced road trip to locate their fellow reincarnated members of Easy Company to hopefully save some lives. They have a year for Babe to tag every person on his list. If he wins, everyone gets their memories back. If he loses, he dies. Problem is, nobody is allowed to know what he's up to, or he forfeits his life.
At the same time across the nation, men are finding themselves with strange marks. Connecting to each other through the internet, they find that they are the tagged in an old fey game called Catch-Tag, and someone is out there right now, risking their life for them. Desperately they search to discover more of their shared pasts and find out how they can save the life of someone who is trying to save theirs.

Summary
Slowly and with great care, Roe goes about the business of severing the thin ties that had begun to bind him to Heffron. Day by day he transfers a little more of his dependency on to Renee - and it’s easy this time, it hurts less than with Babe. Roe realises, with a spreading warmth of shock and relief, that the worst has already happened: Renee is dead. He will never answer the scream for a medic and find her there, bleeding, begging, crying for her mother. It is nothing like the armed grenade that was his tentative friendship with Babe.
He has already lost her, and now there is nothing left to be afraid of.
**
Renee stays with Roe after her death, and after the war, and every day he spends with her he becomes a little less alive.(Note: Although Babe is absent until the end, he is a fairly huge and important factor in the entire story.)
