Camila always dreamed of having a big family. She came from one, Manny came from one; they were in agreement that they wanted a whole bunch of kids.
Things didn’t work out that way. Manny got sick and that became the focus of Camila’s life. She tried to shield Luz as best she could, but Luz was growing up, growing wiser every day; she could see the dawning horror in her daughter’s eyes, the knowledge that Manny wasn’t getting better.
Manny died holding her hand and their dreams of a huge, loud family died with him.
Fate had other plans.

Boscha's scheme to embarrass Willow in front of her crush backfires spectacularly when she finds out they're already dating.
"I know, right? So embarrassing," Boscha forces out a laugh. "Surely you've noticed the way she looks at you. I mean, it's so obvious she's like, super into you."
"Well…" Hunter says, turning to face her with a bright smile, almost smitten, gaze softening to a spot just above her shoulder, and for a moment, Boscha thinks he's reconsidered, that she's about to break up an annoying friend group and snag herself a trophy boyfriend all in one fell swoop, when—
"I mean, I'd sure fucking hope so, considering she's my girlfriend."
A moment later, none other than Half-A-Witch Willow herself walks up behind her, brushing past Boscha like she's not even there, wrapping her arms around Hunter's neck and greeting him with a kiss that surely shouldn't be allowed on school property.

At first he could hold himself just fine despite the nightmares that plagued him at night, but soon, people like Tommy and Quackity ate away his remaining self-control with their mocking and taunting.
Stupid, unreasonable selfish people like Wilbur and Tommy who were willing to sacrifice a nation for just a pair of discs. People like them were the reason he lost it all a couple of decades ago. The screams of Bob and Jack were an oddly satisfying memory.
