Summary
Stylish doesn’t have to be what Joseph is, and fashion doesn’t have to be what Joseph does. Caesar was right; Lisa Lisa chose him because he’s Joseph. He hadn’t been placed on the cookie cutting board of “this is how you should be” and had his personality beaten out of him with diet mantras and a self esteem unnervingly correlated to his appearance.
She chose him because he was new. She had seen how Caesar looked at him at the casting audition, and realized Caesar’s unique trait of somehow retaining the idealism of a naive designer through all of these years and Joseph’s trait of always staying true to himself, no matter what rules of the trade were thrown at him, would fuse together into something with the charm of beginner’s luck. She chose him because he was a breath of fresh, spring air in the midst of a dull, winter storm.
And perhaps, she had even predicted that they’d find a little bit of themselves reflected in each other. And because of that, they'd conjure up an outfit that brought out the best of both of them, no matter how opposite they were.
Joseph takes a deep breath and steps onto the runway.

“I’d probably reach my destination with sheer willpower,” Ryou replies.
Satoru laughs to himself, bringing his cigarette back to his lips. “So I made you go the long way round. Sorry.”

Joseph looks down at his watch to check the time and if he needs to make a very special appearance tonight, but suddenly, there’s some shouting in the distance and Joseph looks back up only to see a pair of shoes careening toward him as someone dives into the car through the still-open passenger window, shouting, “Drive, idiot!"
Joseph, fortunately quick on his feet, does as he's told. Peeling out of his parking spot, he speeds down the road as Caesar adjusts his position to actually sit in the passenger seat and begins to load his pistol. “Hey, I was just going to check on you! How did it go?”
Caesar glares at him as he forces the cartridge in. “It was going great before you commed me, asshole.”
“Oh,” Joseph mutters, taking a sharp right toward the industrial district, “is that why you hung up?”
