Shane hadn’t officially met the old farmer, not that he remembered, but had heard stories from Gus, who sometimes slipped into the habit of getting chatty after Shane had been at the bar an hour too long.Unlike the rest of the town, though, Shane couldn’t care less about some new person worming their way into Pelican Town. He wasn’t exactly a socialite, and would be surprised to hear if anyone in this town even knew his last name. The only time he ever engaged with the community was during festivals, though it was more due to the urging of his aunt than genuine interest. Still, he stuck to himself, and no one, including him, seemed at all interested in breaking that habit.
