“Poor Henry,” Bunny said, “Struck by one of his migraines. Had to depart early. But he was perfectly happy for me to stay on.”
While Marion was bored by Richard she actively despised Henry. First of all, she didn’t like the thought of someone else taking care of her boyfriend. Sure, she couldn't afford to buy Bunny new suits and trips to Italy. But if he needed someone to cover his tab in the cafeteria she wished he’d come to her. Second, the man was rude. To her, despite Bunny sticking up for her, but to Bunny, too. She was sure he’d make the argument that his course was far more academic than early education—he could make it, Marion didn’t care—but Bunny was his peer, his classmate.
She purposefully handed Bunny his plate from over his shoulder, hiding the look of utter apathy on her face. “What a shame. Wine?”
The bottle was already tilted over Bunny’s glass when his hand shot across the rim. “No,” he said hurriedly. “Thank you, sorry, out of my mind with tiredness right now, really, don’t know what I’d say if I got into the wine.”

Bunny returns from Italy and pays a visit to his girlfriend. And he's acting so totally normal. Everything's fine. This is a man who knows zero secrets.
