Based on Headcanon #665 from the pjoslash-headcanons blog: Leo was always the happy-go-lucky funny guy, he could never be sad or upset around the crew. Every night he'd hide in the control room of the Argo and let it out, he'd punch the wall or cry or just scream. Nico heard every night, and it broke his heart every time to hear the one he loved hurting.

Summary
After running his mouth, Leo's managed to piss off a minor god who out right refuses to give the eight demigods the information they need to get on with their quest unless they find an obscure relic and return it, so in an attempt to get the irritating side quest over, everyone breaks into teams of two to find it. Everyone except for Leo who has to watch the ship in case of attack, and Nico who just wanted an excuse to stay behind on the ship.
*Annabeth and Percy never fell into Tartarus.
*This fic takes place a few weeks after Mark of Athena

That is, outside of high school. Charles Xavier happens to be an ordinary human being, but that's not the worst of his troubles. He's a true geek, with so few friends he could count them on two fingers, and he also happens to be the school's favourite victim.
Erik has always looked down upon humans without any powers, thinking he is superior to them.
Naturally, he's not pleased at all when for some unknown reason, Charles latches onto him after only one lesson of group work as though they were the best of friends.
