Summary
Susie has only been in Hometown for a few months before the itch to run off and try again somewhere new starts crawling beneath her skin. Lucky for her, she finds the perfect excuse in the form of a self-sabotaging human with a lot to hide.
When they show each other the sides of themselves they keep away from the world, something changes. For once, neither of them care where they are, so long as it’s with each other.
OR
No dark-world AU, Susie did something awful, Kris did something worse, they make very poor decisions but they do it all together. That has to count for something, right?

Toriel smiles at Kris and Susie. They both stare at her.
“Boyfriend,” Kris says, gaspy, like they’re waking up from a nightmare. “You’re telling me that he’s your boyfriend.”
“Yes, dear. Yes, I am.”
Kris glances at Susie. She knows this look. It means, do you want to get in massive trouble together? The answer is, as always, of fucking course I do.

Kris has a perfect life, both parents, friends, good grades...atleast that's how it looks like to Susie. How can someone with so much act so ungrateful? Someone needs to show them that real life is not all rose-coloured, maybe then they will start to appreciate their life more...

Summary
Just get up and say something. Kris thought. But what would they say? Susie was on a date right now. Why would they ruin her happiness? I can be a bit selfish, right? Kris looked up again at Susie, the sunset illuminating her features. Her hair shiny in the evening light, her golden eyes brighter as the water shined behind her. But in her arms… was Noelle. Not Kris.
It’s not your place. Kris thought glumly. They pressed their face into the table as the new couple continued to giggle and laugh.

When Susie and Noelle become official, Kris closes themselves off to Susie. They just can't control how jealous they are that their crush is with their childhood friend. After Kris and Susie have an argument, Kris unexpectedly leaves for college. Noelle and Susie plan to join Kris in one year. During that time, Kris works on themselves and finds a new home in the city. But when Kris's time is up and Susie and Noelle arrive in the city, Kris isn't so sure they've moved on from Susie completely.
