His clothing resolves itself back into the coat and dark shirt Stelle is familiar with, equally damaged, scuffed and bloody and frayed when Stelle has never seen him with so much as a hair out of place.
“Stelle,” he says, and then it’s like all of his strings are cut at once. He falls.
