Enjolras lights a cigarette and sinks down into his car seat. He wants to melt.
“Thank you.”
“I don't have anything better to do.”Enjolras is discharged from an involuntary hold, where he was diagnosed with psychosis. This is what happens in the immediate aftermath of that experience, and how he readjusts to life, adjusts to his new diagnosis, and experiences the fallout of a psychotic break. this is a sequel series to "liminal spaces," although reading that work isn't necessary. much in the vein of that, the chapters are short and somewhat self-contained. when needed there will be content warnings preceding individual chapters, and as the tags might suggest there is a blanket warning for discussions of alcohol and drug abuse, although no drinking or using will take place.
although it won't be mentioned directly or shown, the recovery is drawn from alcoholics anonymous (written by someone with experience with it) and the chapters each correspond to the steps therein. if that's not your vibe i get it, and you might not enjoy this.
