“Are you sure you’ve never done this before?” Suguru skeptically asks as Satoru presses sweet little kisses down his cheek all the way to the corner of his mouth.
Satoru laughs, leaning back to look at him. “I’m sure. So, how am I doing so far?” he asks, eyes gleaming.
Suguru can’t risk Satoru’s head getting too big, so he says, “Eh, I’d give you a solid ‘B’.”
Satoru’s eyes narrow in annoyance at that. “I’ve never gotten a ‘B’ in my life.”

“Satoru?” The word rings, fuzzy in his ears as it whines like tinnitus, familiar and heart stopping.
‘I’m dead.’ He can’t even hear his own thoughts over the loudness of the world, staggering where he stands, eyes still fixated on the sky, on the sun. ‘I’m dead, I died, I felt my heart stop, this can’t be, it can’t-’
“Hey,” it comes again, a little more urgent than before, a little closer, another hammer to his ears and all the noise shrieking behind his eyes. He recoils hard enough to go stumbling as a hand reaches for him, covered in flesh rather than empty bone, tan and recognizable. Unbelievable.
There’s something wet trickling from his nose. Bile stings on the back of his tongue. The words dissolve into the rest of the white noise as he stares up at the blue of the sky, and tries to remember if he’d ever had a hallucination as bright as this.
‘I have to be dead,’ he thinks. Somehow, he isn’t.
Or: Gojo Satoru goes back in time. He makes a couple of changes for the better.

It isn’t often that Itadori keeps things from him. Aside from being a terrible liar, he usually confides in Megumi about everything, from his grandfather, to his favorite professor, to the guy in his film class that he hangs out with sometimes. Even the things he keeps to himself don’t feel like secrets; Megumi can’t remember a time where they ever made him feel this unsettled. Even though he knows that he isn’t entitled to every detail in Itadori’s life, it irks him to think there is someone that he knows absolutely nothing about.
Especially someone, he realizes with a sinking feeling, that is exactly Itadori’s type. What was it he had said to Todo? Tall, dark hair, kind of badass. In other words, exactly like the tall, dark-haired, intimidating looking man who just walked out of Itadori’s dorm room.
