Summary
The underground city. A hellhole. A place where dreams wither and die. And where people devolve into the worst versions of themselves.
Two people with vastly different upbringings in Mitras’ underbelly find their paths crossed. One: a cautious young woman trying to survive who has managed to stay away from crime and violence in the city. The other: a lost young man molded by and trapped in the violence of the underground who was left to his own devices. He’s finding his way, discovering who he is and what he stands for in a world where power is how you survive.
They find their way to each other, thrown together in a chance meeting neither one of them expected. Striking up an unlikely friendship, they navigate the brutal reality of the underground as they meet in the middle of their two worlds. Through it all, they discover that beautiful things can live buried beneath the harshness of the city, and that those things might be worth nurturing.

A few years after she was born, her father was discharged from the military. His mental health had worsened. She never knew what was exactly wrong with him, but she knew something was going on. When she got accepted for Ilvermorny, he had been the proudest parent. She had fooled the school, though. When a professor showed up to let her know she was magical, they told her to not tell anyone. She asked if she could tell her half-brother, Glenn Rhee. Glenn was not her brother. She had met him at Sunday school.
Her father figured it was better for her to know how to survive than not. He trained her from a young age about surviving in the woods. She knew how to forage, how to hunt, how to become invisible. When she was older, he trained her in types of martial arts. She soaked it up. It was something she and her father did when she was at home. When she turned 15, he taught her how to shoot. Handguns, sniper rifles, anything he deemed important. He figured that shit ever went down. She needed to know how to survive. It was beyond funny to her that after he died, the world indeed seemed to go to shit.
Now she has to take on the Walking Dead with her best friend Glenn. Will they survive?
