Elodie Price had never heard the soft breeze of the wind or the sound of birds singing in the trees.
After losing her older brother and her mother, the world had become grey. Ten years old, and already the universe had stripped her of everything. She couldn't see any reason to keep moving, no one to protect her. The Walkers would find her soon enough. With her hearing loss, she wouldn't even hear them coming. She could barely hear the world screaming around her.
Her mother had always been harsh - never quite satisfied with anything Elodie did - and her brother distant. The little bits of love that trickled through, the faint scraps of affection, always seemed to slip through her fingers like water. She didn't belong. Not to them, not to anyone.
So when she had come to the conclusion that maybe it was her turn to go, she never expected anyone to care. She never expected anyone to save her.
Certainly not someone like Daryl Dixon.

He found his voice again. "What are you doing here?"
"Right," Aziraphale said. "Um..." His eyes went unfocused, and he wobbled. Crowley found himself, despite his utter shock at the situation, beginning to worry.
"Aziraphale, what happened to you?"
"What do you mean?"
"You're bleeding."
"I'm what?" Aziraphale reached up and touched the side of his head, eyes widening in surprise at the blood that smeared his fingertips. "Oh. So I am."
"What are you--?"
"Listen," Aziraphale said, "I'm terribly sorry to do this, because I know we aren't talking, but there's something I need to ask of you."
Crowley nodded slowly, his worry growing the more unfocused the angel's eyes became. "And what's that?"

There is a cozy street in London’s SoHo district lined with restaurants and storefronts and flats, where window sills are adorned with flower boxes and people bustle along cobbled sidewalks. A record store sits on one end, while a charming cafe beckons customers in just a bit farther down. Near the middle of the street, where it splits in a small intersection, sits two other establishments kitty-corner from each other: a plant shop, and a bookshop.
