Ilya nearly loses it when Shane demonstrates the ‘plow’, his legs over his head and ass fully suspended in the air. He swears he pops a vein when Shane is in a reclined middle split—now that’s just cruel to his psyche.
However, nothing could’ve prepared Ilya for—
“The downward dog,” Shane announces their last stretch of the day, “A classic that I’m sure all of you know. An easy pose right before our cooldown.”
Sure, the pose itself was easy enough. So easy, in fact, that Shane gets into the position without second thought. He’s faced down, and his ass was flexed upwards, and his cheeks were flushed red, and well, fuck. Great, if it wasn’t obvious enough that Ilya was having a mental hard-on at the thought of Shane Hollander on his fours in a very different context outside of the yoga studio, then the thin material of his gym shorts surely betrayed him.
Or, Ilya attends a yoga class for the first time.

Harris had an unofficial poll on a whiteboard in the media team’s office: Team Hollander vs Team Rozanov; something that apparently was never allowed to be revealed to the general public according to Harris’s strong warning the first time Wyatt had seen it. He had promptly and dramatically signed his name under Team Hollander, though he had to write small in the little space left. After being traumatically outed two years ago, Shane and Ilya's relationship and their lives have been fundamentally changed, and most days, Shane thinks that's a good thing. But sometimes, the pressure of being out, and the rampant online speculation about #hollanov, and rumors running rampant through the NHL, and a new generation of rookies looking up to them, and the knowledge that everyone is relying on Shane Hollander to be perfect at all times—sometimes it's a lot.

When Lindsay, the team operations manager, had pulled them into a meeting to discuss the rooming arrangements for the season, he’d been expecting Shane to get flustered, and turn bright red, and stammer out something like we wouldn’t want to make anyone on the team uncomfortable. Ilya, in fact, had just opened his mouth to say as much to her, but Shane beat him to the punch.
“If it can be arranged and doesn’t throw off anything, that’d be great,” Shane said.
Ilya gaped at him. “You want to room together?”
Shane just looked baffled. “What do you mean? We’re married. Of course we’re rooming together.”
