Their newfound fame has Steve juggling between his private life and the one plastered on the front page of every tabloid. He shouldn't have been surprised that the public didn't believe in his rags to riches love story.

    Tony usually makes it easier for him to handle it all. Until he starts to distance himself from Steve, as if now he's the one hiding something. And Steve is left wondering if he's about to lose Tony for good this time.

Sure, he had been spending more and more time taking care of Peter since his aunt had fallen ill, but that didn't mean he was going to do something that drastic.

    But then again, if someone had told him he would be forced to look for a new job and end up meeting Tony Stark in a broken elevator precisely because of that... Well, he would have laughed.
