Summary
After a mysterious horned creature appears in Cecil's office, strange things begin happening around the station. Well, strange in a different way than usual. Darkness consumes a few unused rooms, some of the interns begin seeing shadowy figures around corners, that sort of thing. In the rest of Night Vale, the sun seems even harsher and more deadly than usual.
Station Management seems particularly interested in the little creature. If he had to wager a guess, he'd say that they're almost acting... protective of it?

Stone understands. He nods. “We need to be ahead.”
"Precisely my thinking, oh wannabe automaton. We need to be ahead! We can't let any inferior fools get the drop on us.” Robotnik’s hand curls into a determined fist. “We are going to create the serum first!”

aka a truth serum fic. in which stone knows that robotnik's main concern doesn't really have anything to do with the serum, but he'll happily go along with his little experiment regardless. because of course he will. shenanigans will ensue.

Summary
Dr. Robotnik is having an existential crisis (by his standards). After observing his clumsy assistant on a mission, he realises that Stone is actually notoriously hard to hit. The man is highly skilled, and it turns out he had been pacifying the genius by LETTING him treat him like a human punching bag.
Determined not to be coddled, Robotnik issues the man a challenge. Stone was to actually try to dodge him, to fight back.
What follows is a hilariously awkward descent involving roboticised trollies, feigned affection, accidental compliments, and Robotnik's increasingly panicked internal struggle as he discovers that maybe, just maybe, that affection is becoming...less fake.
[A.K.A - Stone is notoriously hard to hit and Robotnik takes this as a personal challenge.]
