"Chara has always known they would go insane one day. It seemed a logical conclusion: there was obviously something wrong with them, and besides, weren’t these things inherited? It was only a matter of time before they started seeing things that weren’t real.
When they wake up one morning face to face with a child maybe a year or so older than they are, they’re not exactly surprised. Caught of guard, certainly, frightened, maybe (though they’d be loath to admit it), but all in all, their confusion only lasts for a moment before they conclude oh. It’s happened. and shrug off their covers to go get breakfast."
