Summary
John is trying to prove that he can hold himself together to earn a relationship with his son. One particularly rough day, he finds an unexpected friendship in a weird stranger.
Bob is trying to not relapse into old habits to carve out a normal life for himself. Now, he's also fighting his attraction for his new friend.
Both of them were lonely, both of them are far from uncomplicated, both of them need this unforeseen, meaningful thing that sparked without their control. They just have to conceal the ugliest parts about themselves. But when someone inescapably draws you closer, staying hidden might be harder than anticipated.
Parking lots, late night phone calls and two men finding out that the harder you try to put out a fire, the wilder it burns.

Summary
“John was suddenly biting the inside of his cheek. So much for distracting himself, now not only he was imagining Bob, exactly what he had hoped to avoid doing. But Bob was on that same dancefloor they had stepped on the previous night, some guy's hands around his waist, as he whispered something to Bob's ear, unnecessarily close, and Bob giggled amusedly, wrapping his arms around the faceless dude's neck and pulling him even closer.
No matter how hard he was telling himself to not proceed with his next question, the burning feeling in his stomach was now dominating his rationality.
"Hung out with guys like those, too?" John spat out, too bitter than he meant to. He heard the loud sound of Bob's swallowing and instantly regretted his devastating curiosity."
An undercover investigation in a gay club forces the thick, growing tension between Bob and John to violently collapse. Their differences regarding love and sex should only pull them apart, so why can't they put out their desire?
Emotional casualties are bound to occur.

Summary
“You think you’re ready to get back out there?” Bob asks.
Walker sucks in a deep breath and lets it out slowly before meeting Bob’s eyes, “Honestly, the thought terrifies me.”
Bob frowns, “Nothing terrifies you.”
“I wouldn’t know what to do,” Walker confesses. The lack of confidence in his voice is jarring to Bob’s ears.
“You could practise on me,” He offers.

Summary
John is trained to endure, to restrain himself, to efficiently suppress his wants when the time demands, and he transfers it into their intercourses – never letting himself lose it completely, even if energy pulses under his skin and on his fingertips, but mostly in his cock, making him want to throw caution out the window and take as much as he can from Bob. He knows that Bob wouldn’t refuse him. But he can’t. Can’t act like he needs it that much, can’t feel that way too – shouldn’t, for it’s nothing, really. Just a means to loosen up a little bit.

Summary
“I’m not here to make friends.”
Bob glanced up, mouth twisted into something between a smirk and a wound. “Good. Because I don’t want to be your friend.”
Walker looked down at him. Shadows cut across his face, sharpening the lines of his exhaustion.
“Then what the fuck do you want?” he asked.
