"I wanted to forget," was what he remembered telling the other man, sobering up when the distance between them grew smaller and smaller. "And I'm no angel."
"Then you came to the right place," Seokmin whispered, fixing him with a look that had him shuddering before telling him to go home, sliding a thin calling card into his pocket. "I'll call a cab for you, erm- do I have the privilege to know your name?"
"Jisoo," he exhaled, swallowing hard as Seokmin continued to hold his gaze. "Hong Jisoo."
"Lee Seokmin," the hitman drawled out, reaching for his hand and raising it toward his mouth, the kiss he placed on his skin burning him. "But I have a feeling you know that already."
Filled with blinding rage, Jisoo entered Seokmin's life, the man who killed his fiancé, to hurt him in ways he knew would satisfy his grief. But knife half-way through the other man's side, he wondered why he felt regret and not relief.

It had been Minghao who told him he should take a rest. To do something he had been wanting to do for a while, now that he still could. Seokmin was 29 and still unsure about his place in this world.
Minghao was right, he had to take a pause, think about himself and decide to do something he wanted instead of walking on someone's tail and fulfilling their every wish. He had to rediscover what he really wanted in life and to stop following his parents wishes. He could do it, he had told himself.
One thing Minghao forgot to tell him, and it was a crucial point when it came to Seokmin, was that impulsive ideas aren’t always the best.
So nobody was mad or surprised when Seokmin declared he was going on a hiking trip. Alone.
