The consistent, soothing sounds of the stream calm me a little, along with the humming tunes of nearby mockingjay’s.
It takes me longer than I’d care to admit to realise that they’re saying my name.
And then I hear her, her hushed voice calling my name. I don’t even have to open my eyes to realise Katniss is a mere few metres away from me. I open them anyway, barely giving my sight enough time to adjust to the light before looking to my left where her voice is coming from.
