In which Clint Barton is Phil Coulson's and Aaron Cross is Eric Byer's.

The problem just starts when they're kind of the same person.

(or, the one where Clint Barton shatters into a million of different pieces when Phil Coulson dies, and Eric Byer just happens to be there to pick up the pieces.)

    Summary

This is the day that marked the Holy and Blessed Union of Dean Winchester and Jo Harvelle.

The merging of prominent bloodlines is always a grand occurrence, but breeding pedigree hunter families like Winchester and Harvelle is something to be rejoiced. It is also something to be meticulously planned, which thankfully the Host is very good at.

Or, the romantic comedy where Dean Winchester and Jo Harvelle are destined to get married, Castiel is given the task of playing matchmaker and fails terribly, the entire Heavenly Host becomes a sitcom audience, God warns against male pregnancy, and Jimmy Novak is incredibly unimpressed with angels in general.

Finally, Dean breaks the silence. “Look, Cas, about last time… I shouldn’t have laid it on you like that.”

TELL HIM TO LAY SOMETHING ELSE ON YOU, Hester says in amusement. Castiel inwardly balks.

    SISTER!

WELL I’M SORRY BUT IF HE WERE ANYMORE OBVIOUSLY IN LOVE WITH YOU IT WOULD BE NAUSEATING.

HESTER, THIS IS COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE TO THE INTENT OF CASTIEL’S MISSION, Zachariah snaps. ALSO IT IS DISGUSTING.

YOU’RE DISGUSTING, Inias grumbles. He and Hester mesh their Grace together in a way that reminds Castiel of a high five. Zachariah trembles with rage.

“And make sure you find me next time no matter what.”

    “Of cou- what?”

Sanji glares at him from his nest of pillows swathing him in the hospital bed. Arms semi-crossed over his chest, laboring for breath. “I said, make sure you find me next time no matter what.”

Next time. Zoro swallows. “You don’t know if-”

“I do. Keep in mind ghosty, that just because you may be the grim reaper does not mean you actually understand death.” Even at 76 he keeps Zoro laughing from his quips. Though it gets harder to force the sound out when he wants to scream instead. Sanji asks for Zoro’s hand, and he relents, lacing strong fingers through pale wilting ones. “Promise me Zoro.” Sanji pushes.

Zoro leans closer, pushing his lips against Sanji’s brow. “I promise.”

“It’s going to be a challenge you know. I’m hot-headed and I probably won’t believe you and I’m sure I’ll cause a whole host of drama but make sure to-”

“I’ll find you. No matter what. And I’ll do my best to make you love me again.”

Sanji smiles at the notion. “Oh, I don’t think you’ll have to work too hard at that. Loving you is easy.” Sanji takes a deep breath and shuts his eyes. “I’m tired Zoro. I think I’m going to go to bed for a bit.”

The hourglass on Zoro’s wrist flips, the dark sands of time flowing once again. And Zoro is right where he is supposed to be. He chokes on his words, attempting to keep his tone neutral as his thumb traces the lines of Sanji’s palm. “Okay. Get some rest.”

The monitors begin beeping, hospital staff racing in. Zoro should be long gone by now, leading a brightly colored soul on its way to oblivion, releasing it to join the other stars lighting the universe’s vast emptiness. But no soul appears.

“I’ll see you next time.” And he lets Sanji go.

    Summary

On October 31st, 2017, Gojo Satoru wakes up and immediately realizes the day has repeated. He recognizes this for two reasons. One: his six eyes tell him the cursed energy outlays are identical to the day prior, something that has never happened before and will never happen again, unless time itself is overlapping. And two: Utahime is still in Tokyo, despite her plans to depart the evening prior, and she would never, ever, extend her stay without emergency.

or: Gojo Satoru gets trapped in his own personal Groundhog Day. Like most things in his life do, every day leads back to Geto Suguru.

Before he can leave the room, Yaga adds, “Satoru...please be careful.”

“I’m always careful,” he lies, leaning against the door.

“I’m serious. Don’t fall into temptation just because you think it won’t matter the next day.”

Gojo purses his lips. “No need to worry about that Yaga-kun, I’m just having some fun. Like I’m trying to get Nanami to wear a cow costume to the Halloween party–it hasn’t worked yet, but there’s always tomorrow–”

“That’s not what I mean,” Yaga interrupts, and Gojo pouts in confusion. The principal sighs. “If you were to go see him,” he starts, then frowns. “Even if he’ll forget it the next day, you won’t. Don’t hurt yourself, Satoru.”

Gojo tenses. Yaga won’t say his name, but they both know who he means.

“As if he could hurt me anymore than he already has,” Gojo mumbles, pathetically quiet and more to himself than Yaga.

“I didn’t ask you to get a new house with a giant kitchen.” Sanji hissed, turning to meet Zoro’s surprised gaze.

“I thought that’s why you didn’t want to move in?” Zoro answered, red dusting his cheeks as he nervously looked to the side, “you kept looking at it angrily.”

“It wasn’t about the damn kitchen, it was about you!” Sanji answered hotly.

    “What’s wrong with me?!”

“Nothing is wrong with you,” Sanji yelled, huffing as the room descended in a surprise silence, “nothing is wrong with you.” He repeated the words, softer this time, as the truth of it washed over him.

"So you don't mind?" Ariadne asked, curiosity lifting the tone of her voice. Arthur looked at her and allowed a small smile.

"Ariadne," he said, shaking his head slightly. "On the list of things I 'mind' about Eames – calling me 'darling' is somewhere near the bottom."

Ariadne laughed, a smile coming easily to her mouth, but Arthur was smart enough to catch the way it didn't quite reach her narrowed eyes.
