    Out. He needed to get out. Stumbling through the gaggle of boisterous drunk people, Tim made his way through the crowd, ignoring the glances he received on his way out. Standing outside with nothing but his semi-transparent black top, he felt a shiver ripple through him. He knew that the guy would find him soon, that once he checked the bathroom, his next best idea would be to check outside. He looked around to find an out, to find a way to escape. The street seemed empty, apart from a guy standing just out of the streetlight’s illumination, staring at Tim with an almost unnerving intensity. But Tim knew that face, he would always recognise him.

    Or: Tim goes to a club, gets his drink roofied, and comes out of the interaction unscathed with a boyfriend. He’d probably count the night as a success.

    Weariness dripping from his face, Bruce entered the watchtower and pried his cowl off. He had stood up late the night before, working away on a case that was neither imminent nor complicated. He simply needed an escape from the thoughts that swallowed him whole, and he broke free from them via occupying said thoughts with casework. However, that liberation was superficial; after he was done, they all came back to him vehemently.
