He pushed Shinobu away, scrunching his hands into his uniform as he shrugged off Tanjiro. He hit fist against his forehead and when he saw the hurt look that flashed across their expressions.
But I always get it wrong.
Why was he like this?
It's not cause I'm young or from a broken home.
Maybe I just fight cause I don't know where I belong.
"Leave me alone," he growled, putting as much force into it as he can. He wished they'd hate him like Sanemi did. Hate's easier to react to. Why would they care? "You know devils don't fly."
"So don't expect us not to fall," Shinobu responded, her voice so understanding, so warm.
Genya hated himself after realizing how cruelly he treated Tanjiro- a kid who was just trying to reach out, to be KIND! He just wanted Sanemi to accept him. Why couldn't he? Was he so angry all the time?
Everyone says that "Devils Don't Fly." He'd become a devil. But why did he still dream of flying? Why did he always "try"?

Summary
Tanjiro was the oldest Kamado child. When his dad died, it was his job to make sure his family stayed safe and always had what they needed. But then he'd failed. He'd slept calmly all night while his family screamed for help and he wasn't there for them. Then the next day, Tanjiro bowed to someone as they threatened to kill his little sister. He was weak and helpless both those times.
Now, someone else wanted to hurt Nezuko, and this time Tanjiro wasn't going to just let it happen. Giyuu told him not to grovel anymore. So now, he'll fight.
A retelling of the "Master of the Mansion" and "Hashira Meeting" episode when Tanjiro firsts meets the Hashira and they threaten his sister.

Summary
A truth or dare game ends upbrapty when Ace opens up about his much he would do for his family. That plus him not understanding what "sleeping together" implies, ends up with the Whitebeard Pirates thinking that Ace and Luffy had a much more horrifying childhood than they could have imagined. Shanks is also involved in the mess, somehow, too.
OR Ace's low self esteem leads to the Whitebeard Pirates not knowing how to deal with Ace's "trauma", not understanding that there in fact is no trauma to deal with.

Summary
Law delicately grabs Luffy’s arm and brings him inside as he shuts the door and locks it. He pulls Luffy into a deep hug and kisses his forehead to which Luffy leans into Law’s warmth and scent.
“It’s okay Sunshine. You’re always welcomed here.” Law whispers, kissing Luffy’s forehead again.
Luffy choked out another sob and wrapped his arms around Law’s torso while Law stroked Luffy’s back in a warm, gentle manner. Luffy nodded and pulled away, which made Law’s heart break as he watched more tears fall from Luffy’s eyes.

Luffy gasps delightedly, head wiping around to stare up at Whitebeard with wide, excited eyes. “Ace tried to kill you too?!” he shouts. Behind him, the party doesn’t necessarily stop so much as pause, focusing in on the growing spectacle before them. Oblivious, Luffy continues on. “How long?”
Whitebeard looks down at the young pirate captain that’s practically vibrating in place. Then he looks to the blond revolutionary that is also staring up at him, gaze considering and keen. Then to his second division commander who now has his face in his hands, ears red where they poke out of his hair. Finally, he glances at the rest of his children, out of loop and confused, yet intrigued, nonetheless.

Or, Ace dies (of embarrassment), Sabo is the dramatic middle child, Luffy is having a blast, and everyone else is just along for the ride.
