This story follows Regulus through a series of events and tragedies that will change him forever. At only sixteen years old, Regulus Black joins the Death Eaters, risking any chance of reconciliation with his brother, Sirius. He finds himself on a journey of power, corruption, and darkness.
Without Regulus, Sirius would never have had the privilege of choosing. Regulus, even without a choice, risked everything he had. He burned every bridge.
And now, he would burn too.

Summary
This is the part he likes best: when the mission is complete but they’re still riding the high, hearts pumping from the exertion of keeping themselves alive. This is when Ghost is at his most unreserved, when he seems the most unlike The Ghost. It’s as if a good op helps him remember what it feels like to be human. And it’s in these moments, when he’s almost effusive, casual about a pat on the shoulder or a hand at the back of the neck—when he seems to need the physical reassurance that they made it out in one piece—that Soap thinks the mask looks the most like the prop it is. It doesn’t scare him; it only makes him sad.

Summary
This… this was becoming dangerous. It was right there in front of him, encapsulated in that one single word. The need of it. Their terrible symbiosis.
They were sewn together by breakable thread. Surgeon’s sutures, harsh knots over bloody wounds, not made to last, just willing to hold them together long enough to keep their blood in. They’d learned to avoid sharp objects, their conversations carefully side-stepping the knife-edges of words that threatened to sever each stitch.
