Once the door closed, Sokka dropped his stuff and laid down on the floor.
He sighed, “I feel like an idiot.” He said quietly, disappointment coating his voice.
When Sokka’s door closed, Zuko’s smile dropped and he dropped his head back as he walked.
“That was literally the perfect chance, Agni…” He groaned as he returned to his room, beating himself up until dinner when his happiness returned and the heat faded.

Deku has been maddeningly rocking onto the back two legs of his chair over and over, so it was only a matter of time before he went flying backwards. Lucky for him, Katsuki not only anticipated this, but is able to knock Deku back into place before he can smash his stupidly busy brain all over the floor.
“Oh, gosh! Thanks, Kacchan!” Deku says, his round face turned towards Katsuki.
“Sit still, I’m not catching you again,” he growls, a little irritated by the fact that he hadn’t actually made a conscious decision to catch him this time.

Zuko would never be able to be what Sokka wanted. They might have needed each other during the summer, when two boys with too much weight on their shoulders found comfort in each other in the only way they knew how.
But now Zuko was Fire Lord, and Sokka was leaving.
