It’s a pleasure entangled with pain, if only momentarily, if only for a few breaths, as the stretch of burn inside you melts into contentment, a near relief at the fullness that they bring you. You’re not sure if the tears you feel prickling along your waterline are purely from any one emotion, but you don’t even want to blink them away.
