It was all he had wished for on every birthday candle, every eyelash and even on the one shooting star he had seen a couple years ago. He wished for his dads' safe return and he had gotten it, finally. But in this moment as he listened to the yelling, his dads voice thundering through the previously quiet house he found himself wishing once more for the quiet.

Buck ends up in the hospital again and while still under the influence of the pain medication he asks to go home with Eddie.
"I want to go with Eddie" The words were stumbling past his lips before his medicated mind could catch up to what he was asking for.
Silence fell between the trio, even the annoying beeping from his monitor and the hustling outside of his room had seemed to fade into oblivion as he caught sight of Maddie's crestfallen look which caused the shame to spiral and wrap its tight vice around his chest.

Summary
Pulling his door open, Buck was not expecting to find Eddie, his eyes rimmed red and a panicked look on his face.
A tight vice wrapped around Buck’s chest as he gave his best friend a once over, looking for any injury and asking hurriedly “Eddie, Eds, are uh, are you hurt? What happened?”
Eddie stumbled forwards towards him, and Buck could feel his heart pounding in his chest as he reached out and caught Eddie as his weight crashed into him.

Summary

Summary
His fingers slip between the soft pages of the book he’s reading. He likes the feel of it, the paper against his fingertips, the way the pages slide into place after he’s turned them. So sue him, he prefers reading books on paper instead of on e-reader or cellphone screens. It just does something for him, calms him down, gets him immersed in the story. Immersed so much that it takes him a while to hear the sniggers coming from across the loft.
