“Go away,” you turned your back to the doors when Hannibal slipped through.
You rubbed your face, trying to get your act together, only turning around to see him standing there - still and unmoving - when sure you wouldn’t shout at him.
“I’m fine, go to… Just… Just go,” you told him, distancing further, trying to find something to busy yourself with and opting for going through the table at the far end.-
Sometimes stuff just goes wrong, but Hannibal is there to make the world a little more bearable when you feel like you can't deal.
Marked Mature for short mention of unspecified children dying. Originally meant as a one-shot, became a chaptered fic with romantic intentions.
